Originally used as a straw and grain store, Sparks Barn has great character with an open plan layout, large full height windows, exposed beams and stunning gallery landing offering breathtaking views across the North Norfolk countryside.
Sparks Barn sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 bedrooms; 3 x king size bedrooms with ensuite bath and shower rooms, 1 x twin bedroom with ensuite bath and shower room and 1 x twin bedroom with ensuite wetroom. All bedrooms are fully furnished with all necessary bedding and towels provided*. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has a 32″ flat screen TV with all bedrooms equipped with a hairdryer.
The 3 king size bedrooms and 1 of the twin bedrooms are on the first floor and enjoy views of either the courtyard or surrounding countryside whilst the second twin room with ensuite wet room is on the ground floor (a shower seat is available on request). Whilst the wet room is suitable for wheel chair access, the garden does have a step to the upper patio level.
For larger groups, Sparks Barn has a sound-proofed adjoining door through to Pentney Barn allowing up to 16 guests to stay together. The garden and patio areas of Sparks and Pentney Barns may also be linked together.
Sparks Barn has a stunning kitchen with granite work surfaces and 2 butler sinks. The kitchen is superbly equipped to make catering for your group whilst on holiday easy and stress free including a large range oven, induction hob, microwave, large American-style fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice dispensers, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. A Bluetooth DAB FM radio with CD player and iPod dock is also provided in the kitchen area. Sparks Barn has full laundry facilities with a washer dryer, ironing board and iron.
The spacious living area provides a comfortable communal space for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day exploring North Norfolk. An extensive, angled sofa and a plush 3 seater sofa awaits with a 50″ flat screen TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player and surround sound. An additional snug area is located off the kitchen area equipped with comfortable seating, a 50″ flat screen TV and double doors overlooking the garden.
Sparks Barn features underfloor heating throughout the downstairs with radiators in every room upstairs ensuring a comfortable temperature in the cooler months whilst a woodburning stove provides warmth and ambiance on the coldest of evenings.
A free wireless broadband connection is available to all our guests.
Sparks Barn has a beautifully landscaped, fully enclosed private garden with patio area, furniture and a BBQ; perfect for those long, warm Summer evenings.

Totally and utterly perfect in every way!
Spark’s barn is absolutely stunning!! I was amazed by the incredibly high standard of design and finish on the property. I have stayed in several barns similar and none have been quite as amazing. All barns have been decorated to an incredibly high spec and they are absolutely beautiful in every way. The setting is lovely – peaceful and quite, but still close to Holt. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly and their level of service went above and beyond. I bugged them several times before arriving at the barn and they always responded promptly and politely. They made me feel like I wasn’t being irritating, when I know I was really :-). This service continued even after I left the barn, as the owners kindly hand delivered some items to me, which my guests had left at the barn. I need to find another excuse to stay in this barn again – it is simply perfect! Thank you for our wonderful stay!
Excellent! Sparks Barn was perfect for our family of ten plus infant for a week long stay. The barn itself is amazing, it is very large which lends itself to a family stay and every bedroom has a en-suite with separate shower and bath. The beds were beautifully comfortable and king sized which is rare to find. The property was warm and well appointed with almost everything we needed. The children especially enjoyed running around the enclosed walled garden. Our hosts were attentive and pleasant, any issue we had was attended to immediately. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Amazing!
My family…..six adults and four children under five, have just spent a most enjoyable few days in Sparks Barn and we all agree that everything was absolutely perfect. The barn is stunning! Comfortable, well equipped, spacious (plenty of room to run/ crawl around) and spotlessly clean. The outside areas (we had two) provided us with a pretty garden as well as a huge lawn, plenty of outside furniture and a huge BBQ. Pat even let us spill over into the field so the boys could fly a kite. The location of the barn is perfect for exploring nearby Holt, which is a charming small town, as well as the beautiful North Norfolk coast. I can’t believe how lucky we were to find this very special place to stay and we will certainly be back before too long.
High Quality
We (7 adults; 3 children, aged 4&5) all greatly enjoyed our week at the barn which we found to have been beautifully and tastefully converted to a very high standard. It offered very spacious and comfortable accommodation and with every facility one would expect. The location was ideal for us – within a short drive of attractions for all ages! We would certainly recommend Sparks Barn as high quality and ideally situated accommodation.
A beautifully restored barn with a lovely atmosphere
We booked this barn for a special treat and were not disappointed. With every room being en-suite there were no queues for loos or baths etc. All bedrooms were very comfortably furnished, as was the lounge. The kitchen had everything we wanted and there is plenty of space and facilities outside if the weather is kind. The lovely big dining room table allowed everyone to sit around for very pleasant meal times. If there was one complaint it would be that it is a bit pricey – but you do get what you pay for. It’s a quiet location but within easy reach of much of the N Norfolk charm. For another special treat I would not hesitate to book again.

The barn exceeded our expectations, the accommodation was spacious and finished to the highest spec. We are group of eight adults who spend a walking week together each year and this was the best ever. Good location we will certainly be back.

The most fabulous self-catering accommodation I have ever stayed in! All rooms were modern and clean and plenty of bathrooms – which is handy when there are 3 families all trying to get ready! The kitchen was fully loaded with every utensil you could ever need and mod cons galore …. I actually never wanted to come home! Thanks to Pat and his wife for a smooth booking and fab stay, we will definitely be returning.
