Originally used as the dairy, Pentney Barn has real character with an open plan layout, exposed beams and stunning gallery landing offering breathtaking views across the North Norfolk countryside. As with all the Barns, Pentney was named after one of the farm workers employed on the farm. Mr Pentney worked at Manor Farm for over 40 years.
Pentney Barn sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms; 2 x king size bedrooms with ensuite bath and shower rooms and 1 twin bedroom with ensuite wetroom. All bedrooms are fully furnished with all necessary bedding and towels provided*. Each of the 2 upstairs bedrooms has a 32″ flat screen TV and hairdryer.
2 of the bedrooms are on the first floor and enjoy views of the courtyard whilst the twin room is on the ground floor. The wet room can be locked from the twin bedroom to be configured as a family wet room or locked from the living area to be a private ensuite wet room. A shower seat is available on request. Whilst the wet room is suitable for wheel chair access, the front garden does have a step to the upper level with the courtyard patio all on one level.
For larger groups, Pentney Barn has a sound-proofed adjoining door through to Sparks Barn allowing up to 16 guests to stay together. The garden and patio areas of Pentney and Sparks Barns may also be linked together.
Pentney Barn has a stunning kitchen with granite work surfaces and a butler sink. The kitchen is superbly equipped to make catering for your group whilst on holiday easy and stress free including an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge-freezer with chilled water dispenser, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. A Bluetooth DAB FM radio with CD player and iPod dock is also provided in the kitchen area. Pentney Barn has full laundry facilities with a washer dryer, ironing board and iron.
The spacious living area provides a comfortable communal space for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day exploring North Norfolk. 2 plush sofas and a snuggler await with a 50″ flat screen TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player and surround sound.
Pentney Barn features underfloor heating throughout the downstairs with radiators in every room upstairs ensuring a comfortable temperature in the cooler months whilst a woodburning stove provides warmth and ambiance on the coldest of evenings.
A free wireless broadband connection is available to all our guests.
Pentney Barn has a beautifully landscaped, fully enclosed private garden with patio area, furniture and a BBQ; perfect for those long, warm Summer evenings.

Fantastic location and property
Fantastic location and property. I went with a brother and 3 sisters, one of which is in a wheelchair. Everything she required was provided, including shower seat and suction handles. There was nothing missing – from towels and sheets to hairdryers and even a barbecue. Property beautiful and clean, very peaceful and relaxing but not to far to local shops and the sea. Highly recommended.
Extremely high Standard of Accommodation
Excellent location to explore beautiful Norfolk with wonderful beaches (wells-next sea and Holkham) a short drive away. Fabulous eating and drinking pubs only minutes away by car in Holt and Weybourne. Hotubs would make it the perfect retreat but would have no hesitation in returning for future breaks – holidays.
Amazing Barn Holiday Let – Truly Outstanding
My wife and I spent 1 week in the Pentney Barn with both sets of parents and our 1 year old son. We were truly pleased by the configuration of the estate, the barns and the surrounding area. The owners have thought above everything and have designed a really lovely holiday let. It really did feel homely with all the mod cons. The barn was provided with everything tea, coffee, sugar, salt pepper, washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, a couple of bottles of wine and some chocolates, oh and some lovely bright yellow fresh roses upon our arrival. They really have done a marvelous job, we’d recommend it to anyone looking to stay in North Norfolk and we’ll certainly be back again this year!!
We spent the night here and it was beautifully designed and had every comfort and amenity you could wish for. Had a lovely garden for the children too. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent Holiday aided by Luxurious Barn Conversation
We stayed at Pentney Barn for a week and had a fabulous holiday. The barn itself benefits from a very high standard of fit out and a lot of time, energy and effort has gone into creating a fabulous holiday complex. Perfectly located for short journey’s to Holt & Cromer but at the same time in a country / rural setting. We will certainly be back in the future and look forward to our next visit.
Perfection! A great place to stay anytime of the year
Stayed with friends for a week at the end of June. Always tricky to find anywhere that sleeps 4 with two double bedrooms, Normally one is always a twin. The Pentney Barn sleeps 6 but has two superb, almost identical master bedrooms. it also has the twin too if needed, but if you both want two double rooms, it’s well worth the extra. Fitted out to a very high standard with everything you need. The owners left a welcome pack with wine and essentials, a very nice and thoughtful touch. Only one tiny, tiny issue for us, we felt the beds a little on the firm side, maybe a mattress topper would solve this (if others agree), but it would not deter us from returning again. Peaceful, yet close to Holt and very central for North Norfolk area.
Completely Perfect Stay!
My family and I stayed for a week in September. It was a perfect stay from start to finish. The downstairs bedroom and very spacious wet room was ideal for my elderly grandmother. It was equipped with a shower chair and grab handles. The two bedrooms upstairs are very spacious, with beautiful beds and ensuite bathrooms. Separate shower rather than shower over a bath was great. The beds were comfortable and all linen and towels provided were top quality. We also had a baby with us and there was plenty of room for her toys and everything we bought with us. The lounge area was very comfortable, lovely sofas and a big TV. The barn was so warm we didn’t get to light the wood burner! Kitchen is also very spacious and kitted out with everything you could need. Everything was of the highest quality. The front and back gardens were lovely and nice views over the fields. Very quiet during the day and night. The whole barn was spotless clean and very comfortable, with fast and reliable WiFi. The barn is in a great location, easy to get to Sheringham, Wells etc. Good selection of restaurants and shops in Holt. We would recommend a Chinese takeaway from Sunny takeaway in Holt! Flowers, wine and chocolate were waiting for us on arrival, this was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We would recommend the barn to anyone and cannot wait to return. Thank you for a great stay.
Great accommodation in lovely quiet setting
We have just stayed in Pentney Barn. Everything here was well thought out and of top quality. It was like staying in someone’s own lovely home. It was beautifully quiet as it is located near farmland. Lovely walks from the cottages – all of which are very attractive and each one has its own privacy. The owner is on hand and is welcoming and friendly. We shall certainly consider another visit.
Fabulous Barn
This is the second time we have stayed at Pentney Barn and cannot recommend it highly enough. Finished to a very high standard the Barn has everything you need for a perfect stay – including 2 bottles of wine as a welcome gift!
