Originally built as a stable, Platford Barn has real character with its wide doors, arched windows and beamed ceiling. As with all the barns, Platford Barn was named after one of the farm workers employed on the farm and his name can be seen carved into the brick work in the kitchen. All the bedrooms are on the first floor and enjoy views of the courtyard or the surrounding country side.
Platford Barn sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms; 1 king size bedroom with ensuite shower room and 1 bedroom with 3 single beds. Both bedrooms are fully furnished with all necessary bedding and towels provided*. Each has a 32″ flat screen TV and hairdryer. Platford Barn also has an upstairs family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
For larger groups, Platford Barn has a sound-proofed adjoining door through to Hammond Barn allowing up to 11 guests to stay together. The garden and patio areas of Platford and Hammond Barns may also be linked together.
Platford Barn has a stunning kitchen with granite work surfaces and a butler sink. The kitchen is superbly equipped to make catering for your group whilst on holiday easy and stress free including an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge-freezer with chilled water dispenser, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. A Bluetooth DAB FM radio with CD player and iPod dock is also provided in the kitchen area. Platford Barn has full laundry facilities with a washer dryer, ironing board and iron.
The spacious living area provides a comfortable communal space for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day exploring North Norfolk. 2 plush sofas and a snuggler await with a 50″ flat screen TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player and surround sound.
Platford Barn features underfloor heating throughout the downstairs with radiators in every room upstairs ensuring a comfortable temperature in the cooler months whilst a woodburning stove provides warmth and ambiance on the coldest of evenings.
A free wireless broadband connection is available to all our guests.
Platford Barn has a beautifully landscaped, fully enclosed private garden with patio area, furniture and a BBQ; perfect for those long, warm Summer evenings.
A holiday in Platford Barn makes for an ideal cosy retreat at any time of the year.
This barn is not suitable for wheelchair use as all bedrooms are on the first floor, there is a step down in to the property and steps to and from the garden.
* Cot bedding and beach towels not provided. Stairgates, cot, fireguard and highchairs may be provided on request.

Perfect retreat in a quiet location close to beach and shops
A lovely venue, beautifully decorated in peaceful surroundings. Perfect for a get away with the family Owner is very helpful. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, peaceful rural location
Just returned from a week in the beautiful Platford barn. The barn was extremely spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We visited with another family and having Platford and Hammond barns with an internal, interconnecting door worked really well for the 2 families. The whole barn development is beautifully laid out and maintained. Owners were very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The children loved being able to use the large field for football/cricket/hide and seek. The barns are in a rural location, perfect gentle cycling country. Plenty of beautiful beaches, National Trust properties and of course Bewilderwood within a 15-30 minute drive. We will definitely return to Platford barn.
Lovely Accommodation and Location!
We stayed in Platford barn for a week in June with our 2 year old son. The accommodation was lovely, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The barn was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location was peaceful and a short drive away from Holt and the some amazing beaches. Lots of things to do to keep kids amused. The owners were very friendly and helpful and were there if we had any problems or questions. I would definitely return for another visit in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Splendid!
We booked Platford for our son and his family of three littlies! The bedrooms were light, airy, very spacious, and well appointed. Crisp white bedding & white fluffy towels, the rooms were tastefully decorated and all spotlessly clean ideal for the family. We had booked a travel cot, a stairgate and a high chair to accommodate our granddaughter who is just one, the barn was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate them all! All in all, ideal!
Excellent Accommodation
We stayed in Platford Barn for four nights and it was the perfect holiday accommodation. The barn has been renovated to a high standard, it was immaculately clean and equipped with everything you would need, it was home from home. The barns are situated on a quiet lane, between the towns of Holt and Sheringham, so a good base to head out to anywhere across North Norfolk. Would definitely recommend and would like to stay again.

A lovely base for exploring North Norfolk. Really pleasant rural surroundings, yet within easy reach of all the coastline for walks and wildlife, and nearby towns and villages. The barns have all been beautifully restored and comfortably furnished. Easy parking. Good contact with owners, who live on the property. Welcoming pubs and restaurants nearby. Would love to stay again.
